This GMTC code of conduct co-exists with the OTA code of conduct. This conduct seeks to complement GMTC’s constitution and membership rules.
- Membership Tag ID must be presented to the monitor (when available) and other GMTC members as required.
- GMTC membership and membership tags are not transferable.
- Tennis players without membership tags will be asked to leave GMTC premises.
- Only proper tennis-wear (including proper tennis shoes) will be allowed on the courts. (Jeans, cut-offs, casual shoes and sandals will not be permitted.).
- A maximum of 4 players are allowed on the court at one time.
- Spectators are not permitted on the court.
- During play hours
a. Doubles play is preferred over singles.
b. Players should change every 30 minutes, when fellow members are waiting
c. Members will leave at the conclusion of their reserved time slot
d. Members will wait for their turn to play, and not disrupt order of play with the intention of ejecting existing players / disrupting ongoing matches - The following are not permitted in the club facilities:
a. Abusive language or behavior
b. Spitting on the courts
c. Alcoholic beverages
d. Animals of any kind
e. Skateboards, scooters or roller blades - Have fun and enjoy your game – remember tennis etiquette!
- Members will need to be respectful of the coach, fellow members and visiting teams.
Abuse & Harassment Policy
GMTC provides an environment that fosters mutual respect and working relationships free of abuse.
Please respect our monitors and fellow tennis players when they enforce the rules. If you have any concerns, please contact the Board.
Failure to Follow Code of Conduct
I (and other GMTC members in my family membership category, if applicable) agree to follow the rules of conduct and play set by GMTC. I/We understand failure to do so may result in suspension from participation in club activities and /or future club membership.
